<lj:music>evanescence - going under</lj:music>

So I downloaded LJ.net today and it's apparently working, I used to never be able to install software it used to all go kablooey, I'm wondering if my software problem wasn't just the phenominally hot computergeek ex that I had, who would come fix the pooter and err... visit when I messed stuff up. (no, it's not impossible for a computer geek to be hot, just rare) Anyhow.. it's working, yay me. I dunno if I like it or not, it's a lot neater than the old from the webpate stuff but I don't know if I know how to use it all propery. Time will tell.

So again I'm an embarassment to my Irish heritage and I'm piss tank drunk from 3 caesers (I don't know if American's have caeser's it's vodka, clamato juice <an invention="invention" from="from" someone="someone" from="from" calgary="Calgary" no="no" less="less">, tabasco, celery salt, worchestersire sauce, lime and 3 big ice cubes oh, and half a jigger of water. Anyhow, 3 caesers and one screwdiver. At least I never get hangovers.

I came upstairs to post pre drinking binge but ended up downloading lj.net and making supper (pork chops, spanish rice and brussel sprouts) instead. My main reason for posting was those GD Red Wings who lost AGAIN and to another sucky team. I have to learn the wings can't play crappy teams, last week they lost something like 6 -2 to Anaheim and today they tied 4 -4 with the Hurricanes. the HURRICANES, but in all fairness Anaheim beat my beloved Avalanche yesterday 5 -4 GD Anaheim. I had a good hockey pool turn out last week, second place, but this week I had 2 of 5 games Friday 8 of 13 tonight, we shall see what tommorow brings. Everytime the wings lose I shake my fist at Daveamongous. "You can always depend on the Wings" well not so far m'dear :P

So... nostalgia time, I remember my first druken internet session way back when I was on a local Calgary BBS... ahh good times. If it wasn't for BBS' I wouldn't have gotten into half of the trouble I got into in my youth. Or met previously mentioned hot computer geek and a host of less hot (sometimes downright unattractive) computer geeks. I kind of miss BBS' I'm not a terrifically social person but it was a good way to get around that, we used to have weekly meets. What happened to BBS'? Ah well, I'm a nice, normal engaged person now with a good job. For pete's sake I'm actually making plans to develop my basement in the townhouse so I can move my office downstairs when we have kids. I tend to plan a little in advance, but that was what I woke up thinking about this morning, in fact I woke Shane up to ask him how hard it will be to move the cable and DSL to the basement ( I have TV in my office, every married or soon to be married couple should have 2 tvs, in case someone likes Gilmore Girls and someone else doesn't) Oh, the answer is 'the cable will be easy, it actually comes from the basement, the DSL we'll either have to run from upstairs or have the guys rewire it' And yes, I like the Gilmore Girls dammit!!

Well, I guess that's enough of a rant, I'm hiding from Shane, I love him dearly but he has the worst taste in movies. He's watching Blues Brothers. I slept through the first hour and the 15 minutes I saw didn't inspire me to stay awake.
